I received The Caker from a friend who knew what a fan I was of Jordan's Instagram account. I have tried a few recipes already with great success. Especially the Choc Chip Mint Cookies, they are to die for. The recipes are easy to follow and make. I couldn't recommend this book enough. Jordan has also included tips for first time bakers and options for GF and vegan options. A must have for any baker or sweet tooth.
My husband purchased this book for me for Mother's day, as he had read in our local paper that it was a 'great read for the foodie Mum'. I love baking, and have found most cookbooks to be just 'more of the same' these days, so it was refreshing to open up 'The Caker' and discover a vast array of interesting recipes for cakes and biscuits with unusual twists such as using lavender syrup and earl grey tea leaves. I have tried two of the recipes out since receiving the book last weekend and both have worked perfectly. There are a lot of recipes as well that are gluten/dairy free which is great for those who may have an intolerance. All in all, an excellent cookbook -and not just for 'foodies' but for anyone who has a bit of a sweet tooth and enjoys treating themselves every now and again.
